Newsoul Youth
First time?
For parents.
Everything that didn't fit on the front page — what a night actually looks like, what parents should know, and how to reach a leader directly.
Never been?
Walking into a room where you don't know anybody is the hardest part. Here's exactly what you're walking into.
Music, a message that runs about twenty minutes, games, and time to just hang out and eat. It's loud, it's not stiff, and nobody is going to put you on the spot or make you talk in front of people.
Whatever you already own. Hoodie and jeans is the standard uniform. Nobody dresses up.
Half the room felt exactly that way on their first night. Tell whoever's at the door it's your first time — they'll walk you in and introduce you to people instead of leaving you to figure it out.
No. Come with every question you've got. You won't get cornered, and you won't get treated like a project.
Regular nights are free. Trips and retreats have a cost, and it's listed on the event. If money is the reason a student would have to stay home, talk to a leader — that gets handled quietly.
For parents
You're handing us a few hours with your kid. Here's what you should know.
-
Every leader is background-checked. The church runs background checks on all youth leaders before they're ever in a room with students.
-
We meet at the church — two different nights. Youth Night is the 2nd Friday of every month, 6:00 PM, grades 6–12 together. High School Night is every Wednesday, 6:00–9:00 PM, high schoolers only — it's not for middle schoolers. Both are at the Newsoul Church building, never a school or a home.
-
Anything off-site needs a signed slip. Trips and serve days are flagged on the event above and require a permission slip with emergency contact info before a student can go.
-
[CONFIRM] Drop-off & pick-up Ask Roniel or Pastor Sally for the actual drop-off and pick-up policy, then replace this line.
Where to find us
The church is moving to a new building on Unser near I-40. This address will be updated when that happens.
